Panagbenga Festival ( Baguio City)

Panagbenga is a kankanaey term for "a season of blooming." Also known as the Baguio Flower Festival, a tribute to the beautiful flowers the city is famous for as well as a celebration of Baguio's re-establishment. Since February 1995, it has been held to help Baguio forget the 1990 earthquake that devastated much of the city.

Baguio also known as cool weather in the entire Philippines, If you like to get cool and relax this is the best city to go. Maybe that's why my hubby fall inlove to this city the first time He visit here for vacation. It very nice tropical weather, some misty rain and fresh air and nice friendly people. Welcome home!

Hello to all my friends in U.S, i'm here in Philippines now for short vacation. I arrive in manila 2 days ago, currently i'm in Baguio stay in my friend house for 4 days, working some errands. It was a good timing i'm in Baguio, they we're celebrating the Panagbenga Festival on Feb. 22 & 23, the only worst is the traffic. Gosh, yesterday we went out with my friend to take care some papers and it take us 30minutes to get a taxi cab back to her place. Today 'm planning to watch the street dancing but my friends say it is not a good idea, Too many people and it will take me all night to get a ride back to her house, because she said she did it before, she said it's very frustrating. she suggest just watch it on TV live. But tomorrow i might take the risk, i would like to see their Flower parade, they will shows variety of flowers, because Baguio was known has many beautiful. When i arrive to Tacurong( my home town) i will post some picture i have taken on my trip.

Later this day i post blog about Magic Jack. Good News got one too! My husband told me about this device, One day i was making long distance using my prepaid card minute to my hubby in Pennsylvania, We don't have unlimited Cellphone plan because it has lots of hidden charges and added taxes, that i don't know what it's for. So we thought we just have to get prepaid cellphone for emergency since we already have home phone. And just get prepaid phone card minute for long distance. We thought we are saving, but not until my husband watch this show about magic jack. WATCHING TV

Didn't do much today, just watching TV most of my day. The morning News was all about the tornado happened in middle state, so sad and devastating. It's so tragic, can't imagine myself be on that spot, don't know what to do. I just hope we won't have that bad tornado here at Jax. Some of the News was about Politics, Mr. Mccain who gain more delegates in Republican, and the Democrat is really a race to Mrs. Clinton and Obama. Also they have update these morning about Britney Spears, had been out in Rehab. Hope she's better. The Celebrity reporters and paparazzi NEED TO LEAVE HER ALONE. She still want peace and privacy on her life. U know? So people leave her alone! Get tired of hearing everyday about her. Tonight i watch one of my favorite show, smallville and supernatural. Also had breaking News tonight about the Blast in Sugar Plant in Georgia. It's said between 50 to 100 people injured. Getting late gonna go, continue watch late night news.

Junk Car

This morning I woke up with the phone ring, try to ignore hoping they give up calling, too early it's eight O'clock in the morning. 8:00am is kinda early to me right now , specially going to bed so late. But I was wrong they don't stop calling, so I finally get myself out in bed and get a hot coffee. Coffee is good in the morning, it help me to stay up. While drinking my coffee I gave a call this person calling my phone and I found out that was the towing company. They're coming to tow the car in the yard. My husband bought this car from his Best friend wife in South Carolina, before I got here in United State. I guess 4 years ago from now. I never saw the car running since then, I ask my hubby what he's plan for the Car that just been sitting on the yard. He said He's going to rebuilt the whole engine. It is Honda civic 1991 model, three years had gone so fast he never had a chance to finish fixing the car , he put new engine, but still won't start. One day I received a note from the city Code Enforcement, They said we need to move the junk car from the yard or else they will start charging us 250/day if we don't comply. The city give us at least one month to comply this code. My husband decided to give it to his step-daughter, after a week she decided she don't want it, she said her husband don't know how to fixed this certain car. So my husband ask me if I could find someone to tow it for free. I went online and Google for free towing then I saw a number that he paid for a junk car any condition and tow it for free. I called this person, and he offer to paid me 125dollars for the car. I said "OK" better than nothing, Right? He came by looked at the car and paid me cash, He also give me advice, I don't know if this is work! "He said, if it happens u had a bad gas on your car, and it won't start because it's been sitting for so long, put 4bottles of Isopropyl alcohol. He said it clean the bad gas, not sure if it's true, I never tried yet. Who ever know that this is work let me know. So finally the junk car was out in the yard today and called the city enforcement that we complied their code. Got peace of mind and also got money, Yeah!
